Vynnyky House
Interior Architect, Lviv Region, Ukraine, 2021
A renovation project of a typical Ukrainian countryside house inherited by a young family. The design aimed to transform the existing structure into a clean, contemporary, and functional home while preserving its authentic rural character and ensuring long-term durability.
The intervention focused on rethinking spatial connections and light flow, opening the ground floor to create a more fluid relationship between the kitchen, dining, and living areas. The material palette combines walnut wood, oak, brass accents, and large-scale Italian tiles, balancing natural warmth with refined, modern detail.
Most of the loose furniture and all built-in elements were bespoke, designed and detailed by me and fabricated according to my technical drawings. The interior also integrates inherited family objects — including icons, handwoven wool rugs, and a display cabinet for a collection of Kosiv ceramics — bringing layers of cultural memory and personal history into the contemporary setting.
I led the project from concept through technical documentation, including custom furniture detailing, lighting layout, and material specification. The result is a timeless and comfortable interior that merges modern living standards with regional craft traditions and a deep sensitivity to place.
